My readings for this week have gone really well. I did some
more videos for my reading. I am actually liking them better than the readings
because I feel like I understand the stories better when they are told to me
orally and seeing images rather than reading a book. I think in general the
videos tend to be use more informal language which makes it to fully understand
the story whereas the books tend to not do this. My best writing for this week
was done for a paper I had due for my class it was also the only writing I did
this week. After doing a read through my essay (which I did because I did not
have a big enough word count) I was able to not only achieve a high enough word
count, but I was also able to read through and edit and refine my paper more
than I usually do when I write. I also feel like with the amount of writing I do
in this class and the feedback I get from that writing has made me a better
writer than I have been. My other classes are going good with the exception of
my studio which I seem to be constantly behind in, but since my final project
in that class is due in three weeks I have been determined to do better. So I made
a schedule for the order and days I should do things for that project and I also
included big dates for my other classes so I will not forget about them and
keep up with everything. As for outside of class there basically is no outside
of class for me. My goal for next week is to not procrastinate especially when
it comes to my studio class.
My name is Trishna Patel and I'm a second year architecture major. My main hobby (if you can consider it one) is watching tv mostly tv shows, documentaries, and anime. I also like to watch movies. Mostly action and sci-fi movies but also ones based off of real life stories. I absolutely love all the Marvel movies and the Harry Potter movies. I also like to read books mostly young adult and romance books. If I'm not doing either of the two I'm usually in my studio classroom in Gould Hall doing whatever project I was assigned. Picture of Gould Hall that houses OU's College of Architecture Washington Times This summer I went on vacation in Africa. My dad was born in Zambia and spent most of his childhood there so he wanted to show us the place he grew up in. We spent two days in Lusaka where he was born, and then we went to Livingston where we saw Victoria Falls. We also spent some time in Tanzania where we took a day hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro and a week long sa...
YES, I LOVE the procrastination meme! If that doesn't make me feel okay about sometimes being behind and procrastinating (which I thought I was over), then I don't know what does!
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's great that this class has been able to help you with your other classes as well!
I still want to watch the videos for some readings as well. Similar to you, I feel that it'd really increase my understanding.
Great job!
